BSB - round 3 get ready

The third round of the 2007 Bennetts British Superbike Championship is this weekend at Silverstone Circuit in the Northamptonshire countryside. Gregorio Lavilla (Ducati) will certainly be planning to continue his unbeaten start to 2007 on Sunday 29 April though he must be all too well aware that his rivals are fast closing in on him.

So far Lavilla has headed off the determined challenges coming in from defending title holder, Ryuichi Kiyonari, and also the new breed of motorcycle riders who have moved up from British Supersport to take there places in Superbikes.

Leon Camier has won the British 125GP and Supersport titles, and has been jostling with other riders at the forefront of the leading protagonists meaning that he is laying second in the Championship, some 33 points adrift of Lavilla.

Expect much close race action this weekend with sunshine and hopefully not any crashes.

Silverstone circuit length - 2.213 miles
