193,180 visit 2002 international motorcycle and scooter show making it Europe's most popular bikeshow. This year's show is the third most successful on record, since the show moved to the NEC in 1989. Top attractions this year included two world launches, Ducati 999R and Triumph Daytona 600-plus a unique Youth Day with Liberty X.



Top sporting stars at the show this year included newly crowned World Superbike (WSB) Champion Colin Edwards and WSB rival Rubens Xaus, Carl Fogarty, MotoGP's Carlos Checa-who sampled his first English fry-up at the show-and World 250cc Road Race GP champion Marco Melandri. From the off-road scene, World 125 Moto-cross champion Mickael Maschio and top 250cc competitor Jamie Dobb.
